AWS, here are all the news of the re:Invent 2022
This is the most anticipated event for the global Cloud Computing community, it is here that important announcements are made, training and certification opportunities are outlined. We are talking about Amazon Web Service’s
re:Invent, the conference during which customers have access to over 1,000 technical sessions, a partner fair, after-hours events and so on and so forth.
But what were the novelties of this year, including products and features for forecasting and data visualization of applications on the Cloud? Let’s find out together!
Amazon Security Lake
. What is it? It is a solution that allows data to be analyzed in a dedicated environment, improving the protection of workloads and applications. In fact, this solution automatically centralizes security data from cloud, on-premise, and custom sources into a single, purpose-built data lake stored in your account. What does it allow you to do?
1) Maintain the analysis tools already in use and retain control and ownership of the security data;
2) Centralize data visibility from cloud and on-premise sources across your accounts and regions;
3) Normalize data according to an open standard (Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework) to share and use them more efficiently with multiple analysis tools;
4) Improve the management of security data for more efficient storage and queries.
Amazon DataZone. Amazon DataZone is the new data management service that makes it easier to catalog, discover, share, and govern data stored on AWS, on-premises, and third-party sources. With Amazon DataZone, administrators and data managers who oversee an organization’s data assets can manage and govern access to data using fine-grained controls to ensure that data is accessed with the right level of privilege and in the right context.
AWS Clean Rooms
. AWS Clean Room is the new service where customers can create data cleanrooms to collaborate with their business partners and generate new insights with confidence, without sharing existing data. With this new service, customers can create a secure cleanroom in minutes and collaborate with any other company in the AWS Cloud to generate unique insights into advertising campaigns, investment decisions, clinical research, and more.
AWS Supply Chain
. AWS Supply Chain is a cloud-based application that unifies data and provides actionable insights powered by machine learning. This new application helps companies increase supply chain visibility to make faster decisions that mitigate risk, reduce costs, and improve customer experiences.
Amazon QuickSight
: Five new features. AWS has announced five new capabilities to help customers simplify their business intelligence (BI) operations using Amazon QuickSight, the most popular serverless BI service built for the cloud. The announcement expands QuickSight Q, a natural language query feature, to support prediction and “why” questions and automate data preparation, making it easier and faster to start asking natural language questions. In addition, customers can now create and share interactive reports and dashboards, quickly analyze and visualize billion-row datasets directly in QuickSight, and manage BI resources to accelerate migration from legacy systems. The new capabilities, combined with QuickSight’s scalability and pay-as-you-go pricing, enable customers to understand, visualize, and derive insights and predictions from data, regardless of technical expertise.
Three Amazon EC2 instances powered by new chips. AWS today announced three new Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instances powered by three new AWS-designed chips that provide customers with even higher compute performance at a lower cost for a wide range of workloads. AWS announces two new capabilities for a zero-ETL future on AWS.
Finally, Amazon Web Services is announcing two new integrations that make it easier for customers to connect and analyze data between repositories without having to move it from one service to another. What’s this about? These are two new integrations that can analyze
Amazon Aurora
data with Amazon Redshift in near real-time, eliminating the need to extract, transform, and load data between services. Customers can now easily run Apache Spark applications on Amazon Redshift data using AWS analytics and machine learning services.
In short, a world of new features. All you have to do is discover them!
